NIEUW-MIDHUIZEN HERITAGE ACCOMMODATION
At the Nieuw-Midhuizen arable farm in the Westpolder, guests learn all about the cultivation of corn, beets, potatoes and onions. The guest rooms have a view of the farmlands and you can read about the rich history of this Wadden polder. The well-cared for and warmly designed double bed-sitting rooms have a private bathroom with shower, bath and separate lavatory. There are bicycles available to explore the surroundings, and a walk on the salt marshes nearby, or a visit to the duck decoy is highly recommended. The Lauwersmeer National Park, among the largest connected scenic areas of the Dutch Forestry Commission, is within walking distance. The garden has various tables and chairs for some lovely hours outside.
